New Skin!
As you can probably see, we have a new skin! I hope you like it, but if not, I'm going to try and make it so you can switch back to the old one without much hassle. This requires some technical shenanigans that I first need to master/apply, so you might have to wait a few days first. ^.^

Hopefully you all got my PM about this sent over two weeks ago - all old members who haven't logged in in over a year have been deleted, as this should help the site load a little faster. I've done my best to avoid deleting members who have been posting recently but have remained invisible for so long. If you're a returning member after a whole year and want your old account back, if you re-register with your same username it should update your old posts to be written with your new account, and send me a PM if you want your experience points back, and just generally try to restore your account as well as I can. To put it into perspective, over 1,100 accounts were deleted!

Icarus
Fresh on the scene, Icarus is ripping up the town with her two characters, front man Icarus and good guy Zuuro. She's often in the cbox and tends to carry a rather nice conversation, however full of innuendos it may be. Between her activity and her wit she's earned her spot and deserves some recognition.

Cash
Recently ascended to supremacy of the Lords of Debauchery (Plus One Chick), Cash has been making his mark in Cairoco City. After a random fling two Springs ago, he finally managed to get the girl of his dreams, Kjara, and totes his son Bank around with him. Hosting a party at the Office Building, he's the front man and the big man, and it's his choice who's in and who's out. Full of charm and with an eye catching red gleam, he's the 'it' dog in town.

SHORT POST. D:

It had been raining all day and it still was as day turned to night. It wasn’t a bad rain but that didn’t necessarily mean that Cash wanted to be rained on all day and night. So he looked for a good dry spot to loiter and perhaps spend the night. He crept up to the subway entrance and the lack of light and the big gate in front of him told him that it was closed and no longer full of smelly humans. It would be the perfect place to stay dry and sleep without being disturbed until morning.

The copper colored husky mix squeezed under the gate and trotted down the stairs. He walked along the side of the tracks looking for a good spot to sit. He found in opening in the wall where a couple pay phones hung above on the wall. Cash laid down and rested his head on his paws as he listened to soft sound of the rain falling. It was peaceful and quiet for once in the subway which during the day was constantly bustling and full of noise. He let out a small yawn and closed his eyes briefly before a noise caused them to flicker back open.

CHARLEMAGNE

The brindle female skirted along the side of the streets, keeping to the walkways and avoiding any other dogs. There was an ache in her a belly, a need to be desired and a craving to be fulfilled but Charlemagne, for those few days, was afraid of it. She had an inkling of what it was, but she barely understood it. Her mother had never been there long enough to explain it to her and her isolation did not fare well with her underdeveloped instincts. This animistic behavior, this need to procreate was unusual to her and all Charlemagne could think of was to avoid males. As well as find shelter in this drenching rain. It was a light shower, but nevertheless she was beginning to grow sick of it and yearned for a roof over her head. But Cairoco City was an unrelenting town, there were never any kind hands to take her nor any sweet voices to comfort. She had to find her own way in this world. That at least, the female had the comfort of possessing.

Skimming across the city as darkness fell, she wandered aimlessly before recognizing the dim landmarks that led her to a place where her mother often talked about. The subway. It was obvious that Charlemagne was not perfectly familiar with the city, she'd spent most of her time by the sea until her mother disappeared off on her own. The only other family member she knew of was her grandfather, but that dog was a distant memory that not even an image was attached to. Flicking her tail as she successfully found the stairs, she carefully tottered down them. Wary eyes casted upon the faintly lighted area found comfort in the loneliness of the place, there were no other living beings well at least no humans. Lifting her nose to the air, she gave a quaint sniff before shaking her coat free of the damp droplets of water. Almost like dew on a leave, the water trickled down the stripes along her bronze pelt. A defiant wave of her tail offered the female some confidence in her new found shelter, energy washing over like a wave from the sea. A sadness wafted into her, she had come to the city to explore but was met with bad weather. If this had been the sea, Charlemagne could have easily dealt with it. But here in the city, even the rain had a sense of pollution in it and dragged her down as did the dreariness of the town.

The brindle female, a few years of age, craved something familiar. Be it a face she had not seen for a while or even the crunch of beach pebbles beneath her pads. Charlemagne desperately wanted something, something warm and something good. She had lived her life as exciting as she could, but it was a life as a beach flea. Nothing more. Perhaps after this, Charlemagne would search out a human. She had found that these two legged creatures were far kinder then any dogs, well then again. Those were the ones she had witnessed on the beach, walking and romping around with their dogs. In this city, the people turned a cold shoulder to a stray. With a long exhale, she decided that tomorrow. Charlemagne would try to find someone to take her home, someone to love her. Anybody to even care a little for her. She was simply too tired, too bored with this life. If she were lucky, it'd be someone on a boat.

Moving forward, she glanced around to seek out some shelter but found none in this particular area. A flickering subway light tempted her further and she obeyed, eagerly plodding down with her heavy but slender structure stretching. Exercise had not been plentiful this day, so it was an welcoming workout to even move openly in the subway. A red figure lay, curled beneath two payphones and for a moment, Charlemagne considered moving on. But something bothered her, the dog reminded her of something but the doubt in her mind, the doubt that she'd ever meet anyone who stuck in her mind remained. However with a sniff, she prodded the courage in her and slowly stepped toward the dog. Tilting her head, she gazed for a moment before exclaiming. "Cash! Long time no see!" She recognized the fellow from the one instance they had met, when he had comforted her after a seagull had tried to steal away her meal with a battering wing. A smile crossed her pretty face, a mask to ignore that needy desire in her belly for a male like him to fill her with enough heat to dry her coat from the rain.

ooc: haha just assuming they know each other well from that one thread we had. haha. xD

A familiar voice flooded his pointed ears and caused him to stir from his light slumber. It was a voice he hadn’t heard in quite a while not since he was still a pup. Sure it had changed and deepened slightly but it still sounded familiar to him. He opened his eyelids revealing the pale blue irises that hid beneath them. He gazed over to see the brindle beauty and a small smile resided on his mug. He slowly rose to his feet and shook off some dust from his pelt and sat on his behind keeping a friendly expression on his handsome features. Cash too vaguely remembered their meeting and how he had offered her some kindness after a nasty bird had harassed her. He remembered those days and almost wanted to return to them when he still had his mother and happiness, but he tried not live in the past. Though with the horrible heartache he was experiencing the past looked all too pleasant. He felt spiteful and somewhat angry at the girl whom he loved. Even though the whole arranged marriage was against her wishes and definitely wasn’t her idea he felt like she was cheating on him and jealous.

Hey there Char, it’s been a while. You’ve become quite pretty even more than before,” He said in his deep yet endearing voice. He gave he a friendly nuzzle in greeting before returning back to his sitting position. He could tell that other things were on her mind; this season always had an adverse affect on females causing their thought processes to swerve on a different track. She had the scent. And he himself could feel the pressuring of spring on him. He let out a chuckle and took a deep breath. “I’m sorry that probably sounded like I was hitting on you. I’ve always been fond of you, you know,” He added with his charm and grin still on his muzzle. The copper colored male than rose to all four, then crept a little closer to her noticing a piece of grass clinging somewhere on her fur. He carefully removed it from her fur with his teeth and tossed it on the ground looking at it for a few moments. “So, I’m sure you’ve got a guy to celebrate this spring with. How could you not,” He said continuing his spree of comments. His motives driven by desire and to make his true love jealous.

CHARLEMAGNE

Taking a step back, the brindle female shook her coat for a brief and light moment before returning to her upright posture. She'd forgotten to rustle her fur to dry her stripes and had did so out of comfort for herself, as well as to appear a little more well kept for Cash. Her ears were flung forward and her face was bright, even hopeful she had to admit. Excitement thrilled her as his eyes fluttered open, his brilliant gaze dusting onto her with a sweep of his face. A smile emerged, almost too quickly for a dog that she had not seen for so long. It seemed almost preplanned, almost as if he had a reason to be so friendly. But Charlemagne dismissed it, believing that she become such a downer on herself that even these doubts were surfacing. She flicked her tail and moved forward as the husky-structure canine heaved himself onto his paws, before sitting back down. She was beating back every bit of pessimism in her as well as resisting her delight at having finally found a friend in this dull world. And one so handsome as well.

His charming voice seemed to quicken the drumming of her heart. “Hey there Char, it’s been a while. You’ve become quite pretty even more than before,” It was very unladylike of her, but being raised by a woman that was rather pirate-like herself. Charlemagne bursted into laughter, snorting at the thought of herself as a beauty. Retorting in a friendly way, she replied "Hardly Cash. Although I must say the times have dun' you well." Her heaving giggles settled back into a refreshed smile, that brisk joy had left her feeling much better then she had in this dreary weather. Suddenly the auburn husky reached toward her, nudging her face before retreating. Awed but rather pleased at such a gesture, Charlemagne ducked her head and smiled as if to beckon a shy, awkward moment. But obvious, Cash's confidence would not permit that moment. His exhale was followed by a “I’m sorry that probably sounded like I was hitting on you. I’ve always been fond of you, you know,”. Tenderly, she tilted her head and stepped toward him before lowering her haunches onto the cold concrete.

"Naw, dear. It ain't nothing. I'm just not used to that sort of thing. But thanks, I've never been charmed by such a looker." Flicking her ears back, she seemed content with the way the conversation when suddenly he stood up. Wary, but pressuring herself to relax. Her brindle fur stood on end, watching him as he arrived by her shoulder and reached onto her neck. His touch sent fringes of excitement through her, but she restrained herself. Expecting him to move, she leaned toward him but was surprised to find Cash still there. He spoke, “So, I’m sure you’ve got a guy to celebrate this spring with. How could you not,” Chuckling, she threw her head off to the side but stayed near him, just in case. Glancing toward him, Charlemagne calmed and replied coyly. "Well, I did see this one guy. But I'm wondering if he's up for the party?" Grinning, the brindle female knew that she could smell his lust that coated him like a thick blanket. That and there seemed to be some sort of hidden intention in him, and besides it was hard for her to keep herself so uptight. She needed that freedom, that release and that heat. Oh, that heat. Picking herself up, she brushed her short stripes against his warm thick coat and waited for his reactions. Her teal eyes begged, "bring the heat, baby."

A warm smile grew on his mug as she complimented him back. It was nice of her to return his compliment with one of her own. Usually the girls he charmed only wanted to hear about how great they were and didn’t care for complimenting back. Charlemagne was a sweet dog and that hadn’t changed since he last met her. “Aw well thanks. I appreciate your kind words,” He said genuinely and in his soft soothing voice. His pale blue eyes were glued on the brindle beauty giving her is absolute attention. Her watched her every movement and reaction to him and continued to act like a gentlemen despite the raging beast inside of him begging him to release it. The copper male had self-control which was more than most had. After removing the debris from her fur he remained close to her the air was thick with tension and he could smell it on her. It was inevitable that something was going to happen here and tonight there was no fighting it.

He listened as she answered his question and tilted his head to the side wondering who she was talking about at first. He then let out a chuckle when he realized this mystery male whom she was speaking of was him. A nervous smile decorated his mug as the female brushed against his side teasingly and it was all he could do to not succumb to her tempting right then. He thought about Kjara and felt almost like he shouldn’t do what his body was telling him to. However there was still an amount of anger and spite that commanded him to continue with Charlemagne. The plan being: make Kjara jealous and want him more. Though he felt bad cause in this case he would only be using the brindle female whom he liked and cared about but didn’t love. And after tonight he would most likely not see her again but he couldn’t put if off any longer.

I think I’m up for it all right,” He said slyly as he crept closer to her giving her a couple licks on the side of her face. He then tentatively got behind her waiting for her to be ready before he did his thing. He took a deep breath before he allowed the desire to dominate him.

Afterwards he panted and gave Charlemagne another affectionate lick and waited for her to lay down before curling up next to her. “I’ll stay with you forever,” He said softly in her ear lying through his teeth. He felt a small tinge of guilt but ignored it; she was probably better off without him anyway. He remained snuggled up next to her giving her affectionate gestures every once and awhile until she fell asleep. Once she was asleep for a few minutes he frowned and sighed as he rose to his feet. “I’m sorry it’s not you it’s me,” He whispered as he began to trot away from the sleeping female. He only looked back once when he reached the top of the subway stairs and then he sprinted away into the cover of night suddenly not caring about how wet his fur would get.
