Welcome to Canine Controversy! We're a street dog roleplay set in the streets of the fictional city of Cairoco. Here on the site you can find lots of active members to roleplay with, along with friendly staff who are always open to suggestions or questions you might have. We hope to see you around soon!
New Skin!
As you can probably see, we have a new skin! I hope you like it, but if not, I'm going to try and make it so you can switch back to the old one without much hassle. This requires some technical shenanigans that I first need to master/apply, so you might have to wait a few days first. ^.^ <3 Vixxy
Member clearout!
Hopefully you all got my PM about this sent over two weeks ago - all old members who haven't logged in in over a year have been deleted, as this should help the site load a little faster. I've done my best to avoid deleting members who have been posting recently but have remained invisible for so long. If you're a returning member after a whole year and want your old account back, if you re-register with your same username it should update your old posts to be written with your new account, and send me a PM if you want your experience points back, and just generally try to restore your account as well as I can. To put it into perspective, over 1,100 accounts were deleted! <3 Vixxy
Weather Moderate snowfall covers almost the entire city as winter returns to the lands once again. The temperature is often cold but never unbearably so, and for the well-prepared dog the weather could almost be enjoyable.

Icarus Fresh on the scene, Icarus is ripping up the town with her two characters, front man Icarus and good guy Zuuro. She's often in the cbox and tends to carry a rather nice conversation, however full of innuendos it may be. Between her activity and her wit she's earned her spot and deserves some recognition.
Cash Recently ascended to supremacy of the Lords of Debauchery (Plus One Chick), Cash has been making his mark in Cairoco City. After a random fling two Springs ago, he finally managed to get the girl of his dreams, Kjara, and totes his son Bank around with him. Hosting a party at the Office Building, he's the front man and the big man, and it's his choice who's in and who's out. Full of charm and with an eye catching red gleam, he's the 'it' dog in town.

The lithe canine stood in the decrepit clock tower, eyes staring over the city below. It was cloaked in the hellish darkness of night, but he knew what was going on within it’s busy streets. Life and death were exercised every day in the horrid city, and canines walked oblivious to others pain. They would learn, though. Learn exactly why he hated them all with a chilling, calculating fury. A low growl rumbled from his throat as he looked over the ignorant city, his brown eyes narrowed. They had walked by her as she lay there dying, had ignored her, had ignored her young son as they lay in agony. Niko might have been able to be saved - Python might have as well. But their lives had been wasted as canines passed them by, leaving them bleeding in the streets. He sat then, feeling the harsh fury in his veins cool to a calculating anger.
Tomorrow there would be more death. They would learn what it was like to lose a loved one. More corpses would be left carefully half-dead, and others would learn the result of their ignorance. There would be no saving those he attacked. Turning, the male paced inwards, his eyes glowing with a feral light in the dark. Wait, he cautioned himself, you must wait. The bodies must be found at dawn, no sooner. The irony must be upheld, that death came when a new day with new hopes was starting. He could feel the heat of the city pressing down on him as he paced back to the window, staring at the horizon. Soon he would once again strike. But for now - he must wait, silhouetted in the window by the small amount of light the moon gave out, like a marauding avenger. Which, in a way, was exactly what he was.
Nothing in the world could have made the young canine happier then lying on a pile of rags in a secluded corner of the Clock Tower. The place where so many memories threatened to over run her dreams, to take those happy thoughts and turn them into nightmares. Time was cruel that way, but with the help of a certain person she managed to keep their hungry jaws at bay. Keeping the claws of time from wrapping her mind in misery was an exhausting task. So she had found herself a comfortable pile of soft though slightly molded rags and made it her haven.
She'd scarcely closed her eyes when attention demanded she open them again. Only this time when her wide blue eyes snapped open, she found another canis roaming the room. Disappointed and worried that she had not previously heard the other enter in the first place she wrapped her paw into the safety of her stomach and curled into herself. Desperate to make herself unseen by the searching eyes of this cold individual. He radiated no warmth, but a sickening desire for blood and revenge. It was a nauseating combination that made her want to lose her last meal. But it also caused a small spark of fear to travel through her limbs, causing them to stiffen, she made a mental note to control her heavy breathing. _____________________________________________________________

There were sounds of breathing in the corner, sounds he had missed in his lust for revenge. His eyes swept across the decrepit room, landing upon a white figure with black splotches. His eyes narrowed as he stalked closer, muscles moving smoothly beneath his golden and black pelt. She seemed fearful of him - as she very well should, at most times. But she was not what he was looking for. Maybe it was the white pelt, maybe it was the blues eyes - but she seemed too innocent to have ever just left someone dying in the streets. He sat before her, studying her. She was in the fetal position, and he could feel the fear emanating from her. ”Don’t fear” He said roughly, backing up a few paces to give her room. His voice was rough, the words bit off in a way that almost seemed to cause fear to become more prevalent.
”I..won’t hurt you. I promise. He said brokenly, the words still rough as if torn from his throat. He didn’t want her fearing him. Maybe, just maybe, she wouldn’t run from him as others did, sensing his burning desire to get revenge on this city for his sister’s death. He wasn’t used to talking to others, not in a soothing way. Much of the time he was trying to intimidate them. But he couldn’t intimidate her…she was so pretty, she must be an angel. He mustn’t scare her farther. Ruin that innocence. That would be just another crime added to his growing list, an unnecessary one at that. ”My name’s…Mamba. Who…are you? An angel as beautiful…as you…has to have a name.” His words were hesitant, as he searched for the right words to express himself.
He sat, staring at her face. Blue eyes, clear as water surrounded by black, which then faded to a glowing white. Furrowing his brow, he moved a little to the left, allowing the moonlight to fall past him onto her. Illuminating the white in her fur so that she glowed. He nodded to himself as he looked at her. She was an angel, he knew it. Only an innocent, an angel, would glow so sweetly.
She shuddered as she watched him, clasping her jaws shut in an effort to mask the sound of her breathing. Her mind was losing its touch as she watched this male, he was so much bigger than her, probably older to. She narrowed blue eyes at him as she watched, he stood complacently at the window, staring down at the city with hate filled eyes. A hate the Drizzt could feel all the way from across the room. This hate nagged at her cool intellect and she closed her eyes, worried for her own sanity lest she stare at him any longer. Pawsteps, her eyes curled open and widened considerably as she watched him turn towards her. Settle those hot brown eyes upon her figure, huddled in the corner. That spark of fear grew to astronomical proportions within a time period of seconds as she watched him turn on his heels and come her way.
Oh no he'd seen her!
She had to do something, emitting small grunts of worry and displeasure at the situation as he neared. There wasn't much she could do really, having pulled herself into a fetal position out of fear was a foolish choice. For now she was pinned to the wall and unable to defend herself if he decided to take a chunk out of her hide. Such thoughts allowed her mental barrier to snap and millions of pictures flooded her senses. She thought about the numerous scars that plagued her body, her right shoulder, the bridge of her nose and part of her face. She was an outcast from her family, if she had one anymore. She only had so few friends, and she doubted that they were going to save her from this.
She whimpered as he towered over her lesser frame, he was a giant in her wide blue eyes. His idea's of perception far greater than her own, she had yet to live her life properly. And if this great beast took that from her now then there was no point in hoping was there? When he spoke she flinched, expecting a blow more than meager words. But he did not hit her as she pressed herself against the wall, extending her fores for a better grip. Then he continued speaking, his face contorting into one of thought and calculation, her own must have been a mask of terror. For this great mammoth standing before her was a terrifying mixture of death and revenge compacted into a soulless body.
But an angel? to hear such words from a soulless beast were almost unthinkable. And yet this is what she heard in his last parting words before he backed up a few paces, giving her the stage. He was giving her his full attention, and so far none of this attention involved violence. Should she be scared? wary? cautious? or at ease with the fact that he had not yet attacked her? All of them sounded like possibilities, but she could only really choose one.
Drizzt...a-and you?"
She stumbled like a foolish pup over her words, momentarily forgetting her gift of speech. But perhaps that was for the better. _____________________________________________________________

She seemed so frightened of him. No, an angel should not be so afraid, even when confronted with a demon like him. Shaking his head, he attempted to form his throat correctly so as to make soothing sounds, to ease her fear. The sounds that emerged were half-formed, more growls than anything remotely soothing. His brow furrowed, was he just scaring her worse? He hoped not. No, no, an angel should not be so afraid. His ears flicked forward to hear her whimper, and he moved backwards again, trying not to scare her. She was an angel, he was a demon, but that did not mean they had to fight, did it? He didn’t want to hurt ne so innocent. Too innocent to be marred, even with some of her scars.
His head lowered to her level, muzzle reaching out with curiosity to bump the scar that bridged her own muzzle. ”What…happened?” He asked, trying to make small talk, trying not to scare her more. His ears flickered forward once more to catch her stuttered words. Drizzt...a-and you?" He lay down near her, trying to ease the fear he heard in her stuttered words. ”My...full names…Black Mamba Delgado.” He said, struggling with the words as he debated whether it was wise to reveal his full name. ”Call me…Mamba.” He lay there, awaiting her response. Perhaps…the angel would not flee?

Her heartbeat was a drum, pounding against the inside of her ears. Filling the void of her mind as all thoughts ran for cover. Her words were like a shield, pushing the grizzly creature back for a moment. Her body dared to relax when she found to her horror that her speech only drew him to her. Like a beacon in the dark, the brute found his way to his feet and padded closer. her heart stopped in her throat, Drizzt's blue eyes widened in fear. Her ears could have been sewn to the back of her head, her tail glued against the soft flesh of her stomach.
She knew deep down, that from his reactions, there was no harm to expect from his dog. But on the surface her thoughts and fears ran loose. Giving her no freedom to think such things.
Suddenly he became remotely interested in her scars, and when he came close enough that he brushed against her nose. She did not flinch, with aching control she held herself. Years of weak practice coming through in the last second. She could not risk continuing her performance of fear, no matter how true it rang.
His question was perfectly legit.
"My mo--the lawnmower."
Changin her answer at the last second, she wasn't quite ready to trust this beast, this mamba with personal information yet. Even though so far he'd given her no reason to not trust him, nobeast was trustworthy in this world.
When he layed before her, making himself prostrate to her, giving her an open chance to attack him. She could only stare, stare at him with wide blue eyes, not sure to make of this trust he was putting on her. He had no way to tell whether or not she would lay him to waste, though she scarcely believed she could mark this great dog. The very thought was enough to make her mind go blank and she to rethink her strategy.
Black Mamba Delgado, eh? She recognized the name. In fact, if Drizzt did recall, she'd met a Delgado once. Though the name of this particular dog fled her memory at the time.
"Delgado...I've met one of your family, very..trustworthy dogs."
She spoke probably the longest she'd ever speak in this situation. Hoping that her attempts at friendship were not in vain, for it was the truth on her part. _____________________________________________________________
